Pokémon TCG Pocket wants to be a gateway to digital card collecting

The Pokemon Company

When Pokémon TCG Pocket was first teased a few months back, it looked like yet another mobile app meant to capitalize on the physical card game’s recent wave of unexpected popularity. We’re still a few weeks out from Pokémon TCG Pocket’s general release. But during the hands-on time I recently spent testing the game out, it felt like a promising — if slightly daunting — attempt at reinventing the classic card collecting...

AI startup Runway has made a name for itself building generative models seemingly trained on unlicensed content from around the internet. Now, the company has signed a deal with Lionsgate that will give it access to the studio’s massive portfolio of films and TV shows.

Today, Lionsgate — the studio behind films like the John Wick and Hunger Games franchises — announced that it is partnering with Runway to create a new customized video generation model intended to help “filmmakers, directors and other creative talent augment their work.”

We’re still a little ways out from the season 2 premiere of Castlevania: Nocturne, but after months of waiting, Netflix has shared a general window for the show’s return.

Ahead of Geeked Week 2024, Netflix has dropped a new Castlevania: Nocturne trailer teasing how Richter Belmont (Edward Bluemel), Annette (Thuso Mbedu), Maria (Pixie Davies), and Alucard (James Callis) will continue their war against vampire queen Erzsebet Báthory (Franka Potente). The teaser’s shots of Nocturne’s heroes make it seem like season 2 will see them being haunted by memories of all they’ve lost. But the brief flashes of a cross engulfed in pink flames also feels like it could be a nod to the show bringing back certain characters like Drolta Tzuentes (Elarica...
