Microsoft is launching a Windows app today for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, web browsers, Android devices, and even Windows PCs. The Windows app is essentially a hub for streaming a copy of Windows from a variety of sources, including Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Remote Desktop, and more.

This new unified app has been in testing for nearly a year and includes a customizable homescreen, multi-monitor support, and USB redirection so you can use local devices like webcams, storage devices, and printers as if they were plugged directly in to a cloud PC.

Google is planning to roll out a technology that will identify whether a photo was taken with a camera, edited by software like Photoshop, or produced by generative AI models. In the coming months, Google’s search results will include an updated “about this image feature” to let people know if an image was created or edited with AI tools.

The system Google is using is part of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), one of the largest groups trying to address AI-generated imagery. Microsoft is announcing its new Copilot Pages feature today, which is designed to be a canvas for “multiplayer AI collaboration.” Copilot Pages lets you use Microsoft’s Copilot chatbot and pull responses into a new page where they can be edited collaboratively with others.

“You and your team can work collaboratively in a page with Copilot, seeing everyone’s work in real time and iterating with Copilot like a partner, adding more content from your data, files, and the web to your Page,” says Jared Spataro, corporate vice president of AI at work at Microsoft. “This is an entirely new work pattern — multiplayer, human to AI to human collaboration.”

United Airlines’ in-flight Wi-Fi is getting a big upgrade on all its jets thanks to SpaceX’s Starlink satellites. After teasing “something big” for the skies, United says that it will start testing Starlink’s fast Wi-Fi service in early 2025, with the first passenger flights expected later next year.

United is installing Starlink Wi-Fi into all of its aircraft, more than 1,000 planes, over the next several years, and the service will be free for passengers. “Everything you can do on the ground, you’ll soon be able to do onboard a United plane at 35,000 feet, just about anywhere in the world,” says United CEO Scott Kirby.
